LA Stylist Q & A Fabulous Hair Summer 2012

1.       How can I keep my curls defined and not frizzy in the summer?

Making sure your hair is completely dry before going out is the best way to stay away from frizzy curls this summer. Dry hair means the cuticle layer of your hair is completely sealed giving your hair a smooth defined curly look. When hair is moist humidity molecules are absorbed into the cuticle layers of the hair shaft. This ‘wedging’ brings about “ THE FRIZZ” that can just truly dampen your summer coifs beauty.

2.       How do I fix split ends without getting a cut?

A stylish hair cut, trimming the hair to remove the damaged split shafts is still the very best choice. In lieu of that there are some cosmetic fixes that will being you satisfaction even if they are temporary. One option is to apply a hair serum to your ends and blast them with a hair dryer — the combo of the product and heat will smooth them out until your next shampoo. A keratin treatment will it cut down on frizz that look that split ends give to your hair, but it also restores and seals frayed ends of your hair.

3.       I am growing out your bob this summer; hairstyle and am ready for a change. I don’t want to look ridiculous but need my long hair for the fall red carpet!?

Be creative and out the box and don’t worry what others think, set the trend girl. Here is a couple of winning options. Use a severe side part (to your good side of course) and mask the varying lengths. Another is to cut in a heavy stylish set of bangs to frame that mien. Chic and cool drawing the focus on you face while your lengths even out.
